IPTV Smarters Pro is a good first app for Kemo IPTV. It runs on nearly everything, it's free, and the layout is easy to follow, with Live TV, Movies and Series in separate sections. This guide covers the login and a few settings worth changing on day one.
Step 1: Open the app and accept the terms
The first launch asks you to accept the terms and pick a layout. Either layout is fine, and you can change it later.
Step 2: Choose Login with Xtream Codes API
Skip the M3U and 'load your playlist' options. The Xtream Codes login loads faster and brings the TV guide with it.
Step 3: Fill in the four boxes
Any Name: anything you like. Username and Password: copied from your welcome message. URL: the full server address, including http:// and the port number. Then press Add User.
Step 4: Let it download everything
Smarters downloads the channel list, the movie and series libraries and the TV guide. It takes a minute the first time. Don't close the app while the bars fill up.
Step 5: Fix the TV guide time if it's off
If listings look a few hours out, open Settings and adjust the EPG time shift until the guide matches your local time.
Step 6: Pick the player that runs best
Settings > Player Selection lets you choose which player handles live TV and movies. If a channel stutters, switching player here fixes it more often than you'd think.
Tips from our support team
- Long-press any channel to add it to Favourites. It's the fastest way to tame a list this big.
- Turn on Parental Control in Settings and set a PIN to hide adult categories from the kids.
- Your plan's expiry date is shown on the Smarters home screen. Renew a few days before it.
