Kemo IPTV not working
Kemo IPTV Not Working? Start With This Five-Minute Fix
Most problems come down to one of six things, and nearly all of them can be fixed from your sofa. Start at the top and work down.
- common problems, all covered here
- 6
- to work through the checklist
- 5 min
- WhatsApp help if you're still stuck
- 24/7
Before anything else, close the app completely, restart the device, then restart your router. We know. But it fixes more problems than everything else on this page put together. If it's still playing up after that, find your symptom below.
The 60-second checklist
- Is the internet working?
Open YouTube or any other streaming app on the same device. If that's slow too, the problem is your connection, not Kemo IPTV.
- Restart everything, in order
App, then device, then router. Give the router a full minute before plugging it back in.
- Check your expiry date
Most apps show it on the home screen or in account info. If it's passed, see our renewal guide.
- Turn the VPN off for a moment
If it suddenly works, the VPN server was the problem. See the VPN section below.
Find your problem
| What you see | Most likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| 'Authorization failed' or 'invalid login' | Typo in your details, a trailing space, or an expired plan | Type the server URL, username and password in again, carefully. See the login guide |
| Constant buffering | Weak Wi-Fi, too many screens, or a busy channel | Use a cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, try the HD version, switch the player's decoder |
| Black screen or 'stream not available' | That one channel's source is down | Try another channel. If they all fail, restart the app |
| Empty TV guide (EPG) | The guide hasn't downloaded yet | Wait a few minutes after first login, then refresh the EPG in settings |
| 'Max connections reached' | More screens playing than your plan allows | Close the app on another device, or move to a plan with more screens |
| App crashes or freezes | Old app version or low storage | Update the app, clear its cache, free up space on the device |
When it keeps buffering
- Move the router closer, or plug the device in with a network cable
- On Wi-Fi, connect to the 5 GHz network, not 2.4 GHz
- Pick the FHD or HD version of a channel instead of 4K
- In IPTV Smarters, go to Settings > Player Selection and try a different player
- In TiviMate, switch the decoder between hardware and software in the playback settings
- Check nothing else is downloading on the network at the same time
Worth knowing: Need some numbers? HD needs around 10 Mbps per screen and 4K about 25 Mbps. Run a speed test on the TV itself, not your phone.
VPN switched on? Try a different server
Some IPTV servers block traffic from certain VPN server addresses, and that shows up as channels that won't load or a login that suddenly fails. If turning the VPN off fixes it, turn it back on and connect to a different server close to you. Different VPN providers also behave differently here.
Still broken? Send us these three things
Message us on WhatsApp with: the device and app you're using, the channel name if it's just one channel, and a photo of any error message. With those three things we can usually tell you the fix in one reply.
Kemo IPTV not working: quick answers
Is Kemo IPTV down right now?
If several channels fail on more than one device at the same time, message us on WhatsApp and we'll check whether the problem is on our side. If it's only one device, run through the checklist above first.
Why does Kemo IPTV keep buffering?
Usually Wi-Fi strength or too many screens at once. Try a wired connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, the HD version of the channel, and a different player decoder.
Why is my TV guide empty?
The programme guide downloads separately from the channels and can take a few minutes after your first login. Refresh it from the app's EPG settings.
Does Kemo IPTV work with a VPN?
Usually, yes. If channels stop loading with the VPN on, switch to a different VPN server near you.
